Match # 4 - Miss Diss_Lexia (win) vs. Rachel Summerlyn

"The Xtreme Bulldawg" Rexx Reed vs. The Necro-Butcher (win)
Match # 6 - Rory Fox vs. "Showtime" Scot Summers (win)
Match # 7 - Sexxxy Eddy vs. "One Man" Mike Dell (win)
Match # 8 - Main Event - ACW Hardcore Title Match - Barefoot Thumbtacks Match
Challenger Skylar Skelly (win & new champion) vs. Champion Darin Childs

Notes: This, the first ever official IWA-Texas: Anarchy Championship Wrestling show was also fan appreciation night, and ACW showed its appreciation by providing fans with a packed show lasting over 3 1/2 hours, featuring 27 wrestlers in 8 matches.

In the 4 team elimination tag match, Supreme Clientele was eliminated first as both members of Blood and Gore covered Hotsauce while Tony Vega held the big man's foot from outside the ring. Blood & Gore was eliminated next when Berry Breeze pinned Jason Gore. Quickly, Double Trouble stormed the ring, knocking Problems out of the ring and double teaming Berry for the pin.

Newcomers Pierre Abernathy and Gary Jay were next on the card, winning the crowd over with a mix of skillful mat wrestling and hard hits. Although the fans supported Gary throughout the match, it was Pierre who picked up the victory.

The action in the 7 man Elimination Scramble Match was intense and thrilling. Chuey Martinez was eliminated first as Shance Williams stole the pin from Chad Thomas. Massive then took over, eliminating Julio Garza, Chad Thomas and Shance Williams in order. This left Tony Morales, Massive and Jaykus Plisken. Things got tough for Morales as Massive and Plisken took turns, competing to see who could eliminate the smaller opponent, however no matter what they did to him, Morales managed to kick out. Frustrated by this, the two big men turned on each other. Following a flurry of action, Plisken gained an advantage, applying his "Pray for Death" submission hold on Massive. Just as Massive was forced to tap, Tony Morales had recovered enough to hit a top rope splash on Plisken, stunning him long enough to gain the pin for the victory.

Last week, a mysterious woman interrupted a tag team championship match and attacked Rachel Summerlyn and Daffney. Tonight that woman, now identified as Miss Diss_Lexia returned to take on Summerlyn in a singles match. This match went back and forth between a technical wrestling match and an all out catfight as both women's tempers were put to the tests. As Rachel became more irate at the intrusion into her domain, the newcomer, Miss Diss_Lexia took advantage of Rachel's loss of composure, stealing the victory in the process.

Next was a match that had been promised earlier in the year by another promotion, but it was IWA-Texas: Anarchy Championship Wrestling that was able to make happen. The Xtreme Bulldawg Rexx Reed faced off against the Hardcore sensation Necro-Butcher. Reed dominated early but perhaps underestimated the amount of punishment the Butcher can take and when Necro reversed the momentum, the big Reed was overwhelmed quickly as Necro-Butcher exploded on The Xtreme Bulldawg for the pinfall victory.

Prior to his match against former Champion "Showtime" Summers, Rory Fox was accompanied to the ring by his tag partner Mike Dell. Dell challenged Summers to put up his spot in the 4-way match for the title on July 8th. If Rory wins, Fox would join Dell in the match against Darin Childs and IWA-Texas: ACW champion Jerry Lynn. Summers agreed but demanded that Dell be sent to the lockerroom. Referee Mike Knoxville agreed, noting that both Fox and Dell have contracts calling for pure wrestling matches without the usual Anarchy Rules. Forced to face his opponent alone, Fox seemed confused and flustered. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to avoid a determined Summers who delivered on his promise to tap Fox out. Despite forcing Fox to tap, Summers almost lost his spot in the championship match as he refused to release the choke hold until Knoxville threatened to reverse the decision. By the time Summers released the hold, Fox was unconscious. When he awoke, Rory actually believed that he had won the match.

Next was the feature match of the evening as One Man Mike Dell faced the outrageous Sexxxy Eddy. Prior to the match, Eddy entertained the crowd by providing Rachel Summerlyn a very personal entertainment. The man from "Very Long Beach, California" left Rachel smiling and a little flushed as she returned to her ringside seat. Mike Dell clearly didn't know what to make of the extravagant opponent. Almost lost amongst the outrageous antics of Sexxxy Eddy was that fact he is clearly a skillful and proficient wrestler. Dell and Eddy thrilled the crowd with a fascinating match, filled with great wrestling on the part of both men. Near the end, Referee Mike Knoxville was floored by an errant splash, leaving him unable to keep up with the action. At this point, Dell's partner Rory Fox rushed to the ring and attacked Eddy. Dell and Fox quickly overpower Eddy, slamming him into a metal trash can. Clearing the ring of the evidence, Rory fled to the back and Dell rolled up Eddy just as Knoxville recovered to count the pin.

In the main event, ACW Hardcore Champion Darin Childs defended his title against Skylar Skelly a barefoot thumbtacks match. A thumbtack drive sponsored by the ACW message board www.acwfans.proboards100.com encouraged fans to bring over 2500 thumbtacks which were poured into a wooden frame within the ring. Throughout the match, the barefoot wrestlers jockeyed for position, attempting to avoid the tacks while forcing their opponent into the tacks. As the match progressed, fans were forced to speculate what would inspire a wrestler to take part in such a match. For Skelly the motivation was revenge against Childs. For Childs, it was pride. In this match, revenge overcame pride and Skelly achieved the goal he had been chasing for three months, to leave Childs without championship gold. After the match, Dell and Fox rushed the ring attacking Childs. Showtime Summers came from the back to make the save, but after clearing the ring of Fox and Dell, Summers was repaid for his actions with a steel chair to the skull as Childs attacked Summers.

Showtime will only have to wait 3 weeks to get revenge as he faces Childs as well as Mike Dell and Champion Jerry Lynn at IWA-Texas: Anarchy Championship Wrestling presents "From Innocence to Insanity" at the Venue on July 8th. Also upcoming is the Chris Hero Training Seminar on July 29th followed by IWA-Texas: Anarchy Championship Wrestling presents "Pick Your Poison." Hero will return to the Venue in August as he has been announced for the IWA-Mid South and IWA-Texas co-promoted event "Remember the Butcher" on August 19th. Also announced for that show is the return of Mike Quackenbush, a Women's match between Anarchy favorite Mickie Knuckles and former WWE women's champ Jazz and the main event, a tag match pitting the team of Necro Butcher and Masada against Hotstuff Hernandez and Low-Ki. Match # 1- Three Way Elimination Match
Tigre Mysterio vs. Chief Battu (win) vs. Renegade
Match # 2 - Abernathy vs. Gary Jay (win)
Match # 3 - Joey Spector vs. Don Juan (win)
Match # 4 - US Championship Match
Challenger Blue Angel vs. Champion Daniel Vega (win & retain title)
Match # 5 - Main Event Tag Match
The Great Ryu & Ozzy Manson vs. Mojo & Chris Marval (win)

Notes: In the elimination match, Tigre Mysterio was first eliminated by Battu who then proceeded to pin Renegade for the victory.

Pierre Abernathy and Gary Jay were both making there first appearances in a PWI ring. Abernathy alienated the crowd early by bad mouthing the city of San Antonio before the match. The crowd supported Gary Jay throughout the match, chanting his name several times.

The third match featured two wrestlers well known to San Antonio fans as Joey Spector and Don Juan from RCW faced off. Prior to the match, SinSational Sal announced that he was scouting both men to see if either had what it takes to join his stable of wrestlers. Before the end of the match, Sal seemed to have made up his mind, interfering in the match and helping Don Juan to get the victory. After the match, Don Juan didn't seem to know what to think of the flamboyant Sal.

In the fourth match, Blue Angel challenged Daniel Vega for the US Championship formerly held by Blue Angel. Angel's new darker attitude and persona has alienated several fans who don't seem to approve, but Angel obviously doesn't care. Champion Vega dominated much of the match which lead to Blue Angel bailing from the ring and accepting the count-out loss. Blue Angel vowed to win the belt in 2 weeks.

The Main Event was set up earlier in the show as International Champion Ozzy Manson came out to the ring for an interview. Ozzy was interrupted by former champion Mojo who demanded, but was refused a rematch. During the confrontation, PWI Heavyweight Champion The Great Ryu snuck in the ring and attacked Mojo. When Mojo managed to evade the beating of the two men, he promised to bring out a surprise partner for a tag match at the main event. Mojo's surprise partner was none other than Chris Marval from RCW. Even with Marval as a partner, Mojo had his hands full with the team of Ryu and Manson. It was only when Manson blind tagged himself into the match while Ryu had his deadly claw hold applied that momentum changed. Angered that his partner had attempted to steal the glory of impending victory, Ryu kicked Manson in the head and left the ring area as Manson was pinned, giving Mojo and Marval the victory.

Fans in attendance braved inclement weather to enjoy the show, but in 2 weeks PWI is moving to its new home indoors at Premier Cheer 2499 Castroville Road. This will be a big event for PWI and fans are urged to check out the new location.

The promotional cooperation between PWI and RCW will continue into the future and should provide many interesting developments as weeks go on.

PWI and RCW announce working relationship

Pro Wrestling International and River City Wrestling issued joint press releases this week proclaiming a working relationship:

"RCW is willing to help out other promotions, and we will be doing this soon with the San Antonio-based promotion PWI. You might be seeing some RCW wrestlers at a couple of their upcoming events.

RCW and PWI have been talking for awhile, and the positive is communication as it doesn't feel like PWI is "going behind our backs" to book talent. The respect is there, the communication is there, and it's convenient for the fans, the wrestlers, and the promotions."

Texas Tag Team Tournament

www.Indywarz.com posted the following notice concerning the proposed statewide tournament of Texas tag teams:

As you probably know, we are in the planning stages of the 1st Annual INDYWARZ TEXAS CUP Tag Team Tournament. The idea is to bring together the top 16 tag teams in the state of Texas and have them compete in a single elimination tournament to determine the top team in Texas!

The winners will be awarded the Texas Cup and have the distinction of being recognized as the elite team in Texas Wrestling.

The format will be similar to March Madness and the NCAA Basketball Tournament, except with 16 teams rather than 64!!!

First Round Matches will be held in 4 participating venues across the state as will the 4 second round matches.

The FInal Four will take place in a Special show at a neutral site still to be determined.

On that show, will also be 3 other matches including some of the top National names as well as the top wrestlers in Texas.

We need to have these teams seeded in order for the format to work. Here's your part, e-mail mattavery316@yahoo.com with your top 4 Tag Teams. These need to be teams who regularly compete in the state of Texas.

The Tag Team Champions of the top promotions will receive due recognition, but there will also be a number of "At Large" bids available.

So vote for your top teams today. mattavery316@yahoo.com

We are currently in discussions with several promotions in regard to hosting first and second round matches. We will film the opening matches for inclusion on a DVD that will be shot of the actual Texas Cup. We are also negotiating and have a verbal agreement to actually air the Texas Cup on Pay Per View!

More to come... check back here and of course with Big Stan at indywarzradio.com.

Texas Top 100 Wrestlers Announced

www.Indywarz.com held its annual show naming the top 100 wrestlers in Texas tonight. The show was broadcast over the internet on www.indywarzradio.com and orignated from the XCW arena in Denton Texas. The list was compiled based on votes submitted to the website from fans, wrestlers and business insiders.

Last year's winner Hotstuff Hernandez requested that his name be left off ballots this year, so that guaranteed a new top wrestler in Texas this year. The winner is the current RCW Heavyweight Champion and winner of this year's XCW Battlebox 8... The Bad Ass from Big Japan, Masada! Congratulations Champ!

It is no longer fair to break the list into regional wrestlers as most of the wrestlers who made the list now work in promotions throughout the state, not just one within their own area code. Therefore, the San Antonio Independent Wrestling Scene would like to congratulate all the wrestlers on the list. If you haven't been to San Antonio yet, there are great fans here waiting to see you soon.

Match # 3 - "Bio-Hazard" Jaykus Plisken (win) vs. Angel of S.I.N.
Match # 4 - Tag Team Championship Match
Challengers Darin Childs & Daffney Unger vs. Kissyboots - Skylar Skelly & Rachel Summerlyn (win & retain title)

Match # 6 - Triple Threat Tag Team Match to name #1 contenders to ACW Tag Title
Rexx Reed & Massive vs. Double Trouble - Chris James & Tony Vega (win) vs. The Sexy Fox-a-Dellics - Rory Fox & "One Man" Mike Dell
Match # 7 - Main Event - ACW Heavyweight Championship Match
Challenger Jerry Lynn (win and new champion) vs. "Showtime" Scot Summers

Notes: In the first match, Shawn Vexx was eliminated first as Jason Gore hit a top rope elbow on Vexx following a 3 man pyramid slam involving Vexx, Garza and Morales. Julio Garza was eliminated second when Gore hit his "Slayer Driver" finisher. Tony Morales won the match by pinning Gore following a "Borriqua Bomb."

During the second match, "Bio-Hazard" Jaykus Plisken's music played and the big man came out and destroyed the two smaller men in the ring, covering both Problems and Berry Breeze, he was awarded the victory as the match had previously been announced that "There must be a winner."

Plisken's own match was next as he faced a much larger opponent than the two in the previous match. Angel of S.I.N. manhandled Plisken as no one else has been able, but Plisken was able to overcome this and hit his submission finisher on AOS.

In the Tag Team Championship Match, Kissyboots were set to defend against a "mystery team." No one was surprised when Darin Childs came out as one half of the team, but when Daffney Unger was announced as his partner the crowd went wild. The end came when, as Childs and Skelly battled outside the ring, Rachel Summerlyn was able to surprise Daffney with a roll-up for the victory. After the match, an unamed woman (now known to be Miss Diss_Lexia) appeared in the ring and attacked both Rachel and Daffney.

In the Triple Threat Tag Team Match to name the top contenders to the championship, Double Trouble avoided their opponents and scored a surprise victory when Massive pinned Rory Fox simultaneously as Mike Dell pinned Rexx Reed. Tony Vega and Chris James are now the # 1 contenders for the Tag Titles.

The main event, heavyweight title match between Challenger Jerry Lynn and Champion "Showtime" Scot Summers seemed destined to be a 30 minute time limit draw as neither man seemed able to gain the advantage, but as the crowd counted down the final seconds, Jerry Lynn managed to gain the victory, ending Summers' title reign. Jerry Lynn was proclaimed the new champion.

However, it was announced, Jerry Lynn isn't the second Anarchy Championship Wrestling heavyweight champion. He is the First IWA Texas-Anarchy Championship Wrestling heavyweight champion. ACW has accepted the invitation to join IWA as a full member.

Congratulations to Jerry Lynn of course, but also to Jacob Ladder, Darin Childs, Rachel Summerlyn, Skylar Skelly & Chesty LaRue and to everyone who has worked to make Anarchy what it is today. IWA Texas-Anarchy Championship Wrestling.

ACW Announces Details for June 10th Show with Jerry Lynn

Hold on Folks!!! I know it is hard to believe, but a few changes are being made to the June 10th show that will be headlined by "Showtime" Scot Summers vs. Jerry Lynn.

Due to the finish of the Kissyboots vs. Rexx Reed & Massive Tag Team title match in which double trouble interfered in an effort to keep the belts around Kissyboots waists there will now be a #1 contenders match for the tag titles. Which brings me to change #2…Due to the Perfect Enemy vs. Sexy Fox-a-Dellics match on May 27th ending in a forfeit by Mike Dell after his partner Rory Foxx was knocked out and unable to continue they will not be wrestling for the tag belts, they will be facing the team of Rexx Reed & Massive and Double Trouble in a 3-way dance for the #1 Contendership, Thus proving that forfeits are not an honorable way to end a match and may cost you dearly in the ACW world. Don't fret; this doesn't leave Kissyboots out in the cold, as they will be defending their titles on June 10th against a mystery team. Finally after the hellacious night Darin Childs had he might not even be in action, but then again he may be in action, no one really knows…but it is confirmed that the newly retired Jacob Ladder will not be in action. So here is an updated Card for June 10th….

Match # 1 - International Championship Match
Challenger Crazy Jimmy vs. Champion Ozzy Manson (double countout)
Match # 2 - US Championship Match
Challenger Madness with Sin-Sational Sal vs. Champion Vega (win & retain title)
Match # 3 - Problems vs. Chuey Martinez (win)
Match # 4 - Triple Threat Lucha Elimination Match
Chief Battu (win) vs. Mr. Muerte vs. Tigre Mysterio
Match # 5 - Kid Kaitic vs. Blue Angel (win)
Match # 6 - Mojo (win) vs. Bull Harley
Match # 7 - PWI Heavyweight Championship
Challenger Gabe the Babe with Sin-Sational Sal vs. Champion The Great Ryu (win & retain title)

Notes: The international Championship Match ended with a double count-out as Crazy Jimmy and Ozzy Manson battled to the lockerroom.

The third match marked the PWI debut of the Chicano Assasin Chuey Martinez who was greeted by enthusiastic fans. After the match, Chuey punished his opponent Problems with a trashcan lid. After that the Houligans came out and worked over Problems. Before he could reach the lockerroom, Problems was attacked yet again by Mojo, and then by Blue Angel and Chuey Martinez.

In the Triple Threat Lucha Elimination Match, Tigre Mysterio was eliminated first as Mr. Muerte & Chief Battu teamed up to submit the smaller wrestler. Muerte was then eliminated when Battu hit a big splash from the top rope.

After winning his match, Blue Angel expressed his displeasure with the obstacles set before him by the PWI management and stated his willingness to fight anyone to in the lockerroom to reach the top.

Prior to the match between Mojo and Bull Harley, Bull's partner Crazy Jimmy voluntarily left the ring area out of respect for Mojo. This may have been an error in judgement as the action got a little contentious with Mojo resorting to the green mist to gain the victory. Still, after the match, the two men shook hands and showed their respect for one another.

In the Main Event, Gabe the Babe attempted to gain revenge for his manager Sin-Sational Sal who had previously managed The Great Ryu to the championship. Unfortunately for Gabe and Sal, the pair were unable to overcome the big man from the orient.

PWI returns to S.P.L.A.C.H. in two weeks on June 16. Check out www.pwient.com for details on all news.

Tiffany's Billiards
Friday June 1, 2007

Match # 1 - "One Man" Mike Dell vs. "Milky Smooth" Marty Cone (win)
Match # 2 - "Big Daddy" Dick Dallas vs. Ikaika (win)
Match # 3 - J.T. LaMotta vs. "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo (win)
Match # 4 - RCW Cyber Championship Match
Challenger Rory Fox vs. Champion Sicodelico Jr. (win & retain title)
Match # 5 - RCW Tag Team Championship Match
Challengers The Texas Treats - Don Juan & Chris Marval vs. Champions The Hardbodies - Andrew Dalton & Joey Spector with Brandon Oliver (win & retain title)

Notes: Marty Cone is the current RCW Ring King, or in his case, Ring Queen, however after the match, Mike Dell beat down Marty Cone and stole the crown and cloak.

"Big Daddy" Dick Dallas has been seen with the Caucasian Knights for the last couple months, but tonight marked his first official match. RCW Commissioner Ray The Voice set up the match, but sent Dallas' partner Rory Fox to the back, forcing Dallas to face the Smashing Machine alone. Dallas was impressive in his in ring debut, but Ikaika was overwhelming and eventually forced Dick to tap out to an armbar submission.

J.T. LaMotta came to the ring wearing the dress that he was forced to wear after losing the match two weeks ago against his former partner Andrew Dalton. The dress eventually contributed to LaMotta's loss as Russo scored the pin when the dress covered LaMotta's head, blinding him.

In the Cyber Championship Match, challenger Rory Fox was unable to handle the distractions from the hostile crowd who clearly supported Sicodelico Jr.

The main event was announced as Brandon Oliver's final match as the manager for the champions The Hardbodies. Andrew Dalton and Joey Spector dedicated the match to Oliver and displayed solid tag team tactics in match. The Challengers had some difficulty with the tactics and were frustrated early. Near the end, Don Juan became upset when Referee Alex Marrozos refused to count his pin on Spector as Chris Marval was the legal man in the ring. Later Marval pulled Don Juan off a pin because Marval was legal. Don Juan had enough and dropped an elbow on his partner which lead to the Hardbodies gaining the win.

After the match, Don Juan grabbed a microphone and explained his actions, effectively dissolving the Texas Treats. Chris Marval attacked Don Juan and when Sicodelico Jr. came to the ring to attempt to separate his Team-Mex partners, all he was able to do was to force the action outside the ring. The locker room emptied as the wrestlers from the back attempted to separate Chris Marval and Don Juan. This led to an all out brawl as all the wrestlers became involved in the fighting. Eventually the wrestlers went to the back as the show came to an end.

RCW's next show will be June 30th at the Indoor Soccer Arena. Check out www.rcw-wrestling.com for details.

End Of Month Notes

Let's see, May.... ACW ran shows in Austin, Giddings and in San Antonio twice as Champion Showtime Summers continued his impressive unbeaten streak and Jacob Ladder competed in his final matches. RCW brought in Heidenreich and debuted in a new larger venue. TWE announced the opening of a new training session and held a TV Title tournament, declaring Texas Renegade the new champion. Southern Thunder announced a Title Tournament to fill the vacancy created when Shingo returned to Japan. PWI continued to run shows every other Saturday with several title changes during the month. Southwest Championship Wrestling ran a show in Boerne. The Lucha shows have improved with the influx of talent from Laredo and Mexico. Things on the whole are looking good.

June promises to continue the trend, with the STPW tournament, PWI announcing the move to a new indoor location and incoming talent from Japan, ACW bringing in Jerry Lynn, Sexxxy Eddie & the Necro Butcher, RCW running two shows and TWE hitting the road with several shows planned for the summer throughout Texas. For a wrestling fan, things are good.
