PWE Becomes PWI

Roland of the Pro Wrestling Entertainment group informs the Scene that PWE is reverting to the Pro Wrestling International name made famous by San Antonio Wrestling Legend Jose Lothario. PWI's goal will be to bring quality wrestling to San Antonio. The next show is tentatively set for 8 PM July 15 at S.P.L.A.C.H. Sports Bar at 905 Nogalitos. PWI hopes to run shows every other week once a permanent home can be obtained.

Wrestling in Kenedy and Victoria

San Antonio Referee Alex Marrozos (RCW) has informed The Scene that he will be working a show in Kenedy Texas on June 3. The show is being run by David Cantu who is familiar to long time San Antonio wrestling fans. The name of the promotion and specific location have not been confirmed at this time.

Joey Spector has listed on his schedule a date at The Country Inn in Victoria on June 25 at 3 PM. Spector reports that Quinten Allen, Ikaika, The Texas Treats and The Nerdy Boys are also on the card.

TWE Continues its tour of Texas and Beyond

Texas Wrestling Entertainment has several dates scheduled during the summer for much of Texas. Dates are set for South Padre, Del Rio, College Station, Kingsville and Jewett as well as dates outside of Texas. If you are in any of these locations check the calendar on the TWE newsboard for details. www.texaswrestlingentertainment.com TWE and the Texas Wrestling Academy should be commended for being the only promotion in Texas that tours to these locations, bringing the best wresting possible to fans who might otherwise not be able to experience all that indy wrestling has to offer.

Aside from the TWE dates already announced for San Antonio, the TWE calendar also lists dates on July 9th and August 13. More details will be announced here as soon as they are made public.

Unconfirmed RCW Dates

Wally Darkmon, who thrilled San Antonio fans at the RCW show on Saturday May 27 has listed on his myspace blog a return date for San Antonio as being June 18th.

Hugh Rogue, who headlined the "Breaking All of the Rules" show in March has scheduled an RCW appearance on August 5th.

Neither of these dates have been officially announced or confirmed by River City Wrestling. When details are released, they will be reprinted here.
