Breaking News: Hotstuff Hernandez & Brandon Oliver protest
Current RCW Champion and 1/2 of TNA's Tag Team Champions Hotstuff Hernandez along with former Team MEX manager and RCW promoter Brandon Oliver are not going to appear at Saturday's live event.
Hernandez has yet to be reached for a comment, but Oliver tried to explain their stance.
"Hernandez refuses to be under Commissioner Yebisu's control, as well as I," Oliver said. "The inmates will be running the asylum, and a man of Hernandez' stature will have no part of it. I own RCW, yet I have no control? Trust me Yebisu, I don't forget. Who does Yebisu think he is? How can he call the shots? Good luck running a show without me."
At the November 18 event, Yebisu's Team IPS was victorious in a 4-on-4 cage match over Team MEX. The match stipulations called for the winning team to have control over RCW for four consecutive live RCW events, and the losing team could no longer be represented by its manager. With that victory, Yebisu calls the shots for the next four events.
Originally, Hernandez was scheduled to defend the RCW Championship against "The Smashing Machine" Ikaika, the only man in RCW to pin Hernandez in a year. Hernandez captured the RCW Title from The Great Kazushi Miyamoto last December.
