RCW Preview

River City Wrestling is coming off a high-profile event -- Nowhere to Run II -- which took place at the Indoor Soccer Club on May 19. This event was the culmination of the war between Team MEX and the Caucasian Knights, as well as the feud between "One Man" Mike Dell & "The Smashing Machine" Ikaika, as well as original Hardbody members "Simply Luscious" Andy Dalton & "The Mind of Wrestling" J.T. Lamotta. Rivalries were settled, new faces emerged (Li Fang, and of course former WWE star Heidenreich), and now new rivalries will begin as RCW marches to its Second Anniversary in August.

For the RCW Cyber Championship
champion and Team MEX member Sicodelico Jr. defends the title against Caucasian Knight member "The Real Deal" Rory Fox

It was apparent that after the Electrified Cage Match at Nowhere to Run II, that the Caucasian Knights would never be the same. First, original member Messiah has been nowhere to be found. And then, following the cage match, the CK tried to place the blame on "Cruiserweight Killer" B.J. Turner, but Turner would have none of that, and refused to back down from his CK teammates. With Turner's alliance in jeopardy, and McKenzie and Mike Foxx busy in North Texas, Rory Fox has stepped up to the plate and has challenged Sicodelico Jr. -- a Team MEX member -- for the Cyber Championship.

Sicodelico Jr. has held the Cyber Title since Texas Explosion III in February, winning the belt in a Three-Way Dance over former-champ Mike Dell and then-RCW Champion Ikaika. Since then, the second-generation star has defended the title against B.J. Turner and Gemini. With Hernandez not able to make Friday's event due to TNA commitments, it's Sicodelico Jr.'s turn to step up as a key singles wrestler for Team MEX.

Rory Fox, meanwhile, has been on a tear since moving to Texas. MTV profiled Fox's training and debut into wrestling under the tutelage of Les Thatcher. Since coming to Texas, Fox has taken on all challengers -- including TNA's Eric Young and Hernandez (who Fox defeated) in the same weekend -- and has aligned himself with the Caucasian Knights. This is Fox's first chance at a title shot and Fox has stated he will not let this opportunity go to waste.

For the RCW Tag Team Championship
champions The Hardbodies (Andy Dalton & Joey Spector) defends against former two-time Tag Team Champions The Texas Treats (Don Juan & Chris Marval)

The Chicago Bulls. The New York Yankees. The Dallas Cowboys. The San Antonio Spurs. All of these teams have something in common -- they all have won at least three championships. In RCW, The Texas Treats -- Don Juan & Chris Marval -- could do the same by winning the company's Tag Team Championship for the third time on Friday, June 1.

The Treats almost tasted gold by nearly winning the tournament to crown RCW's first Tag Team Champions in February 2006 (available on DVD). However, The Nerdy Boys were more successful on that night. The Treats eventually overcame that obstacle and defeated The Nerdy Boys -- although they lost the titles that same night in an impromptu match backstage to The Shadow Alliance (Joey Spector & Wally Darkmon). This happened after The Treats said they would defend the title any place, any where, any time, as long as there was a referee and a bell (this aired on the first episode of RCW on KCWX). Later, The Treats would win them back for a second time in a Tag Team Scramble Match at Breaking All of the Rules II with The Shadow Alliance & The Nerdy Boys in a match considered one of the best in 2006. Then, in January of 2007, they lost the titles to Messiah & McKenzie of the Caucasian Knights.

The Texas Treats helped build RCW into what it is today. With a win on Friday, The Treats -- who have been both loved and hated -- could place a big stamp on their RCW careers by winning the titles for a third time.

The Hardbodies, meanwhile, have certainly earned their place in RCW. Both Andy Dalton and Joey Spector have proved their worth. For a year now, RCW fans have seen both of these wrestlers mature and develop their talent with hard-fought matches. After coming under the guidance of RCW Owner Brandon Oliver, The Hardbodies have convinced fans to get behind their unorthodox style and have managed to win the RCW Tag Titles in what was seen as a very big upset over The Caucasian Knights at Battle Lines.

These two teams met in January in a spectacular Two-Out-of-Three Falls Match, and it tore the house down. On Friday, it will be a showdown.

Quinten Allen vs. "The Smashing Machine" Ikaika

This could be a major victory for Quinten Allen. RCW's first ever Ring King (then-known as The Bling King), QA has gone from hated to loved by RCW's faithful. His speed and agility frustrates opponents and a win over Ikaika, now ranked as the #1 contender with the Cage Match victory over Mike Dell at Nowhere to Run II, would move him higher into position for a title shot.

Meanwhile, Ikaika is searching for his title opportunity once Masada returns from Japan. The former RCW Champion finished his rivalry over Mike Dell, and can now concentrate on the man who took the title away from him -- Masada.

It's said that if you want to be a contender in RCW, you have to get through Ikaika first. Will Quinten Allen be able to defeat "The Smashing Machine?"

Marty Cone vs. "One Man" Mike Dell

RCW fans saw the frustrated Mike Dell after he lost to Ikaika in the Cage Match at Nowhere to Run II. Dell blamed everyone but himself for his shortcomings. Dell, a former Cyber Champion, has almost won the RCW Championship twice -- once over Hernandez (but Oliver reversed the decision) and and once over Ikaika (but the match was restarted). He lost his Cyber Title at Texas Explosion III to Sicodelico Jr. when Ikaika smashed Dell with a chair, and then Dell complained about his Cage Match loss to Ikaika. Now the question is ... is Mike Dell right? Or is it a case of bad luck? Or does he refuse to look into the mirror?

Meanwhile, Marty Cone has made a huge impact within a short time. The mind games he employs with his unconventional tactics and lifestyle distracts his opponents. The crowd has quickly embraced the flamboyant Cone, and he recently won the RCW's Ring King crown after defeating former-king Spector and Quinten Allen in a Three-Way Dance at Nowhere to Run II.

Both of these athletes need wins for different reasons. Who will come out on top?

"Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo vs. "Mind of Wrestling" J.T. Lamotta

Russo has been on a roll as of late. After standing up to Ikaika in his return, to challenging The Hardbodies for the Tag Team Titles, to a victory over Li Fang and now, a television "star" with a promo that aired on KENS-5. Russo's out to prove that he's a big deal, and on June 1, he hopes to show that with a victory.

Meanwhile, "The Mind of Wrestling" hasn't been looking too attractive -- unless you like guys in dresses. Lamotta lost the "Loser Wears a Dress Match" to fellow original Hardbody member Andy Dalton, and then in the same night, lost to the much-bigger Heidenreich after tearing up the former WWE star's poem. Nowhere to Run II wasn't a great night for Lamotta. But can "The Mind of Wrestling" -- who will be wrestling in a dress -- be able to turn things around?

Plus much more!

Hector Navarro Benefit Show

Rudy Boy Gonzalez of Texas Wrestling Entertainment and the Texas Wrestling Academy posted the following notice to www.indywarz.com today.

HECTOR NAVARRO BENEFIT SHOW
SUNDAY JULY 22ND 3PM
COLLEGE STATION HILTON
801 UNIVERSITY DR E
COLLEGE STATION, TX

On May 10th 2005, Hector Garcia left his job at the Hilton Hotel in College station to chase a dream. He came to the Texas Wrestling Academy with no guarantees, and no promises. Hector worked his way through training and gradually onto the line up, when Milano Collection AT was not able to make an event, Hector was brought in as a fill in.

Each passing event Hector showed improvement and was always willing to take criticism no matter how harsh. Hector and fellow TWA graduate Skitzo began the long drives to NWA-Anarchy where they were starting to get a push as a team. The highlights of Hectors career up to this point have been the tag team NO DQ Title Matches vs Children of Pains Jacob Ladder and Darin Childs.

Its been said, 'Hector is one of the few guys around that there really isn't anything negative to say'(Darin Childs). I couldn't agree more.

In August of 2006, at a show in College Station, Hector began showing symptoms of fever and serious illness. This was the beginning of what was later diagnosed as MRSA Staph infection. Hector would end up spending a total of 50 days in St Josephs Hospital. Going through various stages of the illness including having blood transfusions, and near death, as well as several operations, Hector lost a considerable amount of weight.

Hector is now at home recovering, and seems to have pulled through. In all this, he has, as expected, incurred medical expenses. Hector has insurance, but the insurance doesn't cover everything. In fact the 'out of pocket' is astronomical.

Texas Wrestling Entertainment has secured the College Station Hilton Ballroom to have this huge event. There will be food for the talent, and all proceeds from the door will go to help cover the medical expenses.

If your interested in being part of this event to help one of our own, please contact me, RBG at 210.797.1686

***************************************
The San Antonio Independent Wrestling Scene knows of no other show scheduled on this date anywhere in Texas and hopes that any talent familiar with Hector's situation would come forward to participate in this event. Additionally fans can contribute not only by buying tickets but by publicising this event.

Match # 3 - Tag Match - No Referee
Black Killer y Soldado Infernal (win 2 falls to 1) vs. Kendor y Tito Santana
Match # 4 -Main Event - Ladder Match - Mask vs. Dress
Gabe the Babe with Sinsational Sal vs. Dragon X (win)

I missed the first 2 matches because I was at the Spurs Game and rely on promoter Jesse Vela's information for those match results. The Tag Match was contested without an in ring referee. The Ref remained outside and only counted the pins. The main event was a special stipulations match between Gabe the Babe and Dragon X. If Dragon X lost, he would be unmasked, if Gabe lost he would be required to wear a dress at all future Vela Promotions shows. This was a ladder mask. Hanging above the ring was a mask which represented victory to the competitor who was first able to retrieve it. The match was quite impressive as neither man wanted to suffer such a loss. The ladder was basically destroyed as both men used it as a weapon. Gabe's manager Sal was assaulted ringside by a female fan, but that did not stop him from interfering on behalf of his man. Dragon X seized the mask and the victory while sitting on Gabe's shoulders as Gabe attempted to set him up for a fall-away slam. A tearful Gabe was inconsolable after the match.

Vela's Promotions run Lucha Shows every other Sunday at Club Kalua (or Club Kahlua depending on whether you read the sign outside or inside the club) 2600 S. Flores. Matches start at 3:30 PM and feature both local wrestlers and Luchadores from Laredo. Vela promotions also runs large shows in Laredo every other Thursday at Casa Blanca. The next Laredo show is May 31st.

Match # 1 - Scott Draven vs. Mr. B (win)
Match # 2 - Renegade (win) vs. "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo
Match # 3 - Lemus II (win 2 falls to 1) vs. El Latino
Match # 4 - Main Event Tag Team Match
Chief Battu y Mr. Muerte (win 2 falls to 1) vs. Tigre Misterio y Sicodelico Jr.

This was the final Sunday show for MAW as starting May 25th, they move to Friday nights. Matches will start at 7PM. This change will likely allow for more out of town talent to work these shows. Additionally, the move from Sundays will allow shows to start a little later and perhaps run a little longer. Two matches for this Friday were set up at this show as in the 3rd match Lemus II and his brother El Latino couldn't settle their differences yet again. Each vowed to bring a partner this Friday with Lemus II bringing Poder Boricua and El Latino bringing in Huracan Ramarez. In the main event, the technicos Sicodelico Jr and Tigre Misterio weren't satisfied with the results and demanded a rematch with no referee. In order to get the rudos to agree, they had to put up the MAW Heavyweight Title held by Tigre Misterio and the International belt that Sicodelico Jr carried to the ring.

Other matches announced include Atrevido vs. Jerry Garza and Polaris 2000 vs. Gato Diabolico. Vaqueros Bar is located at 622 Roosevelt Avenue. Perhaps the best source for information concerning Lucha Libre in South Texas is Lemus II's website www.lemusdos.com

SWCW Show Results

Southwest Championship Wrestling ran a show in Boerne Saturday night and has sent the following report.

Southwest Championship Wrestling

Nelson City Dance Hall

Boerne, Texas

Saturday May 19, 2007

Before the first match got underway, Gabe the Babe and Blaine Steel made their way to the ring. Gabe complained that as beautiful as they were they should be in the main event instead of El Latino and Tito Sanchez. After several minutes of verbal abuse by Gabe to the fans. El Latino and Tito Sanchez made their way to the ring. To shut Gabe up, El Latino challenged Gabe to a match.

1st Match: El Latino vs Gabe The Babe w/ Blaine Steel at ringside.

Match ended in DQ, when Blaine Steel attacked Latino. What ensued afterwards raised eyebrows. Blaine Steel put Latino in a sleeperhold. Once Latino was out, Gabe put lipstick on El Latino. Tito Sanchez ran in and both Gabe and Blaine ran out of the ring. Once woken up, Latino say the towel with his wiped of lipstick and was in a fit of rage.

2nd Match: Dragon X vs Cobra

Winner: Dragon X

Both wrestlers displayed their aerial skills but Dragon X was able to get the win.

Latino came out before the next and demanded to promoter David Cantu that the Main Event be changed. El Latino being humiliated by Gabe the Babe could not be ignored. After the fans were on Latino's side Mr. Cantu changed his mind and decided that the night's Main Event would be El Latino & Tito Sanchez vs Gabe the Babe & Blaine Steel.

4th Match: Berry vs The Clutch

Winner:The Clutch.

With MMA background the 6'6 Clutch dominated Berry, but to his credit Berry held his own. The big man was too much for the much smaller Berry.

Semi Main Event: The Texas Renegade vs Tommy Gunn

Winner: The Texas Renegade

The match between the two powerhouses was a stiff one. In the end The Texas Renegade prevailed.

Main Event: Tito Sanchez & El Latino vs Gabe the Babe & Blaine Steel

Winner: Tito Sanchez & El Latino

Gabe the Babe did what he could to avoid El Latino. Tito and Latino worked over Blaine Steel's arm. Once Latino was able to get Gabe in the ring, Latino dominated the flamboyant Gabe. In a turn of events, Blaine was able to distract Latino, from there a more viscous Gabe attacked El Latino. Both Blaine and Gabe kept Latino in their corner. Finally Latino was able to make the tag to Tito. Once Tito cleaned house, both Latino and Tito connected with a double sleeper for the win.

RCW "Nowhere To Run II" Results & Notes

Saturday May 19, 2007

Match # 1 - Triple Threat Match for RCW "Ring King"
Challenger Marty Cone (win & new Ring King) vs. Challenger Quinten Allen vs. Champion Joey Spector with Brandon Oliver
Match # 2 - Loser Must Wear a Dress
J.T. LaMotta vs. Andy Dalton with Brandon Oliver (win)
Match # 3 - Li Fang vs. "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo (win)
Match # 4 - J.T. LaMotta vs. Heidenreich (win)
Match # 5 - Steel Cage Match
Ikaika (win) vs. "One Man" Mike Dell
Match # 6 - Main Event - 8-Man Tag Team Electrified Steel Cage Match
The Coalition of Caucasian Knights - Mike Foxx, Rory Fox, Scott McKenzie & B.J. Turner with Miss Laura & "Big Daddy" Dick Dallas vs. Team Mex - Hotstuff Hernandez, Sicodelico Jr, Don Juan & Chris Marval with the Lovely Nicole (win)

Notes: "Milky Smooth" Marty Cone pinned Ring King Joey Spector in a 3-way match which also included former King Quinten Allen to become the new RCW Ring King.

In the second match, former partners J.T. LaMotta and Andrew Dalton of the Hardbodies fought with the stipulation that the loser would have to wear a dress. When LaMotta was pinned, he attempted to escape, but Dalton's manager Brandon Oliver caught LaMotta and along with Dalton returned him to the ring and forced him into the dress.

RCW favorite "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo beat Li Fang in Li's second match in RCW. Afterwards the fans applauded Li Fang's efforts and Li Fang showed his respect to the fans.

After the intermission, J.T. LaMotta returned to the ring (in the dress) and called out RCW commissioner Ray The Voice. LaMotta insisted that in order to prove he didn't belong in a dress, LaMotta would fight the biggest man in the locker room. Ray called Heidenreich to the ring. The former WWE Tag Champion started by reading one of his poems. Afterwards, LaMotta declared that the poem sucked and attacked the big man. Despite being about one half the size of his opponent and wrestling in a dress, LaMotta put forth a valiant effort, pressing Heidenreich to the limit before his eventual defeat. It was not announced how much longer LaMotta would be required to wear the dress.

The Cage Match between Ikaika and "One Man" Mike Dell ended in controversy as referee Alex Marrozos was knocked out during the match. While the ref was unconscious in the ring, Mike Dell escaped through the door apparently winning the match. Ikaika followed and hit Dell with a steel chair. Ikaika then rolled Dell back into the cage and ran to awaken the ref. Marrozos declared Ikaika the winner. Afterwards, Dell attacked Marrozos and berated the fans who did not seem to appreciate all that Dell does for them and for RCW.

The main event was an eight-man tag match inside an electrified steel cage between the Coalition of Caucasian Knights (CoCK) and Team Mex. The cage was set up with one lead attached to wires wrapped around the ring ropes and the other lead connected to the cage itself. Whenever someone touched both the rope and the cage, it completed the circuit causing that person to receive a shock from 3 car batteries. The Caucasian Knights were hesitant to remain in the cage when the electricity was about to be hooked up, but Team Mex forced them into the cage. The Caucasian Knights seemed more concerned with the electricity than their opponents and only managed to gain control when their body guard "Big Daddy" Dick Dallas and Miss Laura turned off the electricity. Ring Announcer Jeff Houston was waylaid by a wicked clothesline from Miss Laura and "Big Daddy" threw some chairs into the ring, giving his men the advantage. New Ring King Marty Cone attempted to come to the aid of Team Mex, but was relatively ineffective until the ring crew was able to get the electricity hooked back up. When the power came back on, two of the Caucasian Knights were severely shocked, allowing Team Mex to regain control over the other two members and all four members of Team Mex scored simultaneous pins over the members of the Caucasian Knights. Afterwards there appeared to be major dissention in the Caucasian Knights with B.J. Turner seemingly removing himself from the ranks of that organization.

Two upcoming shows were announced. On Friday June 1st, RCW returns to Tiffany Billiards and on Saturday June 30th, RCW returns to the Indoor Soccer Club. Bell Times were not announced for either show, but times and other details will undoubtedly be announced soon on www.rcw-wrestling.com

ACW: Huge News Updates

News and notes from the world of Anarchy…

Several ACW Anarchists made their debut in Georgia this past weekend. Berry Breeds, Massive, Starr Babaganoush, Mike Knoxville all stepped into a Georgia ring for the first time on Saturday May 12th, they were joined by Darin Childs and Rachel Summerlyn who have spent a lot of time wrestling for the Pro Wrestling Evolution promotion based just north of Atlanta. The ACW crew did the company very proud as Massive made a huge impact and has seemed to put himself in line for a PWE title match very soon. And for the first time ever, an ACW title was defended outside of Texas as Darin Childs successfully retained the ACW Hardcore title in the main event against Jacob Hayes. All in all the trip was very successful and a lot of fun. PWE Will be sending some very fine talent to ACW on July 29th that may include Murder-1 and Kid Ego JR along with several more stars of the Georgia territory.

As you may have seen ACW is handing exclusive news to Barry Yount over at www.saindywrestlingscene.blogspot.com and the exclusives in the last week were pretty big as far as the world of anarchy goes. On September 23rd "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal will be making his ACW Debut. Also reported on www.saindywrestlingscene.blogspot.com was the second participant announced for the December 16th Lone Star Classic Tournament that is shaping up to being the biggest night in San Antonio wrestling. Joining "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon to the list of participants is none other than WSX and PWG Star Joey "Magnum" Ryan.

RCW Title Situation Clarified

River City Wrestling recently released the following statement concerning Masada's Title and Mr. Yebisu's bizarre behavior at the last show:

Masada, the RCW Title situation, & Mr. Yebisu

As many of you know, Masada has returned to Japan for yet another tour. Shortly before leaving, he captured the RCW Championship at March 10 "Battle Lines" with a win over "The Smashing Machine" Ikaika in one of the wildest brawls in RCW history.

After consulting with new RCW Commissioner Ray The Voice, I have decided to continue to honor the title reign of Masada. Although he will not be able to return to the United States to defend it until this summer, he has only had one title defense thus far, and RCW will continue to credit Masada as the company's champion.

As a matter of fact, Masada took the championship with him to Japan. As some of you may know, RCW has been in the Japanese press in the past, most notably when Texas Explosion 2003 aired in its entirety on Samurai TV (the bootleg Japanese version still exists out there) and when The Great Kazushi Miyamoto wrestled in RCW. Hopefully, this trend will continue with Masada taking the RCW Title to Japan.

Speaking of Japan, I have not heard from former commissioner Mr. Yebisu since his outburst at Payback. After resigning from his position and quitting the company, Yebisu literally stripped in the ring and walked away. Although I have had differences with Yebisu in the past, hopefully he can still participate in some way as he did bring international talent to RCW.

Sincerely,
Brandon Oliver
Promoter of River City Wrestling

ACW - HUGE NEWS CONCERNING MAY 27th and ACW invading Georgia

ECW Original and TNA Superstar Jerry Lynn is undergoing eye surgery on May 24th and contacted the ACW Regarding the situation. Jerry Lynn and ACW decided it was in his best medical interest to change the date of his ACW debut from May 27th to June 10th. Jerry Lynn will Face Showtime Scot Summers for the ACW Heavyweight title (if Showtime is still the champion) on June 10th at Graham Central Station in San Antonio, TX. Therefore the main event of May 27th Event will be the Fans Bring the weapons match which will be the third stage of the Darin Childs vs. Jacob Ladder 3 Stages of Hell match. This match is not a best 2 out of 3 falls match; both competitors have insisted that even if they loose 3 falls to zero there will be three separate matches.

This Saturday ACW will be represented in the Peach State, as several Stars of Anarchy Championship Wrestling will be working for the Pro Wrestling Evolution organization in Trion, Georgia. Already confirmed for that show is Darin Childs vs. ECW Original Chris Hamrick vs. Joey Corman vs. Brain Alexander vs. Jason Hampton vs.??? for the PWE Open Weight Title. Also in Action will be Massive and The Underdog kid Berry plus a special meet and greet with Rachel Summerlyn and Star of the most wicked awesome band ever: Kissyboots. PWE will be sending some of its extremely talented roster to Texas for an ACW show soon as part of what will be many talent exchanges between the two companies.

AND DO NOT FORGET MAY 27TH THE THIRD STAGE OF DARIN CHILDS vs. JACOB LADDER WILL BE FANS BRING THE WEAPONS…SO SAN ANTONIO BRING THE SICKEST AND MOST BRUTAL WEAPONS YOU CAN THINK OF…. GET TO BUILDING!

TWE "St. John Bosco Spring Festival" Results and Notes

The following notes were sent to the Scene by RBG. Thank you Rudy.

Texas Wrestling Entertainment
St John Bosco Spring Festival
San Antonio, TX
Saturday May 5, 2007

Prior to the matches, Skitzo arrived with a taped hand. He had dropped a glass the night before and had cut his finger, exposing the temdons. Dr's ordered him out of action for 30 days. TWE promoter Rudy Boy Gonzalez, in turn ordered an imprompt TV title tournament. An angered Skitzo, pleaded to not be stripped of the title, but to no avail. After much disussion, it was agreed to allow Skitzo to be part of the tournament.
After the event, Skitzo was overheard threatening to leave TWE.

Opening Match
Skitzo vs Windwalker
The action started immediatly at the sound of the bell. Skitzo took the fight to Windwalker, which sent both combatants outside the school gym, and out to the actual Festival grounds. Both individuals made it back to the ring. Where Skitzo was able to gain the win, with the help of the ropes.
Windwalker never got any rhythm into the match.
Winner-Skitzo

Opening Round
Match 2
Brett Thunder vs Big Dogg accompanied to the ring by AC Spade Good back and forth match. Thunder delivered several 'Ric Flair' style chops, which sent the crowd of over 150 into a loud 'whooo'. Another highlight of the match had Thunder doing a Pescado onto Bigg Dogg outside the ring. AC Spade, a newcomer to TWE has been given the Managerial duties to watch and direct Bigg Dogg and Rex Reed.
Winner- Brett Thunder

Opening Round
Match 3
Dragon X vs Cobra
Both individuals were 'No-Shows' due to the lateness in being contacked to be part of the Tournament.
No Winner

Opening Round
Match 4
Virus vs Renegade
Renegade was immediatly recieved by the fans, Virus was not.
Another good solid back and forth match.
Winner- Renegade

Round 2
Match 1
Brett Thunder vs Skitzo
Each time these two meet in the ring, you never know what to expect. Yet another great matchup between these two former TWE champions, with Thunder concentraing his attack on the injured hand of Skitzo. At one point in the match, Skitzo was able to roll up Thunder and with the help of the ropes, was able to gain a win.
Winner- Skitzo

Round 2
Match 2
By virtue of no winner in Match 3, Dragon X vs Cobra, Renegade recieved a 'Bye'.

TWE TV Title Match
Skitzo vs Renegade
Renegade, a newcomer to TWE, was able to generate a little offense in the first few minutes of the match, but was caught off guard by Skitzo, who was able to subdue, and was able to wear down Renegade with a Reverse Chin lock.
Renegade made several attempts at busting the match wide open, but was continouly stopped by the former Champion. Finally Renegade was able to launch a comeback, but was cut short by once again, Skitzo use of the ropes.
With the crowd yelling at a deafening level, Referee Rick Porter ordered the match to continue. Once again, the action picked up, with this time Renegade using the ropes and was able to get the win and the TV title.
Winner and New TWE TV Champion- Renegade

Renegade, Virus, Dragon X, and Cobra, were late replacements for the tournament. Renegade had the crowd behind him each time he was in the ring.
Virus and Renegade did very well in their match, with Virus being considered to be added to the TWE roster along with Renegade. AC Spade traveled from California, and has relocated to Texas to be part of the TWE crew. Did a decent job managing, but can only get better.
Next Show-June 2nd San Antonio's Splashtown

>>> Sounds like an exciting show. Congratulations TWE, Rudy and NEW TWE TV CHAMPION Renegade! Check out www.texaswrestlingentertainment.com for details on upcoming events. www.texaswrestlingacademy.com was recently updated as well.

ACW "Trouble in Paradise" Results & Notes

Anarchy Championship Wrestling
"Trouble In Paradise"
The Venue in San Antonio
Sunday May 6, 2007

Match # 1 - 3-Way Elimination Match
Berry vs. Dameon Blood vs. "Showcase" Shance Williams (win)
Match # 2 - Tag Team Championship Match
Challengers Double Trouble - Chris James & Tony Vega vs. Champions Kissyboots - Skylar Skelley & Rachel Summerlyn with Starr Babaganoush, Chesty LaRue & Drew Lucid (win & retain titles)
Match # 3 - El Lotus (win) vs. Chad Thomas
Match # 4 - Tag Team Match
Cassandro & Sharkboy vs. "One Man" Mike Dell & Rory Fox (win)
Match # 5 - "Heatseeker" Tony Morales vs. "Bio-Hazard" Jaykus Plisken (win)
Match # 6 - ACW Heavyweight Championship Match
Challenger Jacob Ladder vs. Champion "Showtime" Scot Summers (win & retain title)

Notes: In the 3-way elimination match, Berry was eliminated first following a double-team flapjack type maneuver. Shance Williams followed that up with a quick pin on Dameon Blood for the victory.

The Tag Team Championship match was the first defense for new champs Kissyboots.

The feature match between Sharkboy and Cassandro was interrupted before it started by Mike Dell and Rory Fox who came to the ring to berate the "Freak Show." Sharkboy and Cassandro agreed to team up to face the pair. The end came after Sharkboy hit Fox with the "Deep Sea Drop" but while the ref was busy with Cassandro, Mike Dell hit Sharkboy with an elbow drop from the top turnbuckle 3/4 of the way accross the ring. Dell then pulled his partner over Sharkboy just in time for the ref to make the 3 count.

"Bio-Hazard" Jaykus Plisken and "Heatseeker" Tony Morales faced each other for the second time in two nights as once again Plisken was able to gain the victory, despite an impressive effort from the smaller Morales.

ACW Heavyweight Champion Scot Summers came to the ring to complain that after beating everyone he faced in twelve straight defenses, there was no one left to challenge him. Jacob Ladder then came to the ring. Ladder, who had pledged to retire after losing the Tag Titles the previous night in Austin, stated that he felt that he could go back on that one promise for one last match for the San Antonio fans. The fans showed their appreciation for both men throughout the match as it was very clear that something special was happening. When the match was over, Ladder's partner Darin Childs came out and announced that he wasn't going to allow Ladder to retire until he had fought one last match. On May 27th, at "ACW presents RESPECT" in San Antonio, Jacob Ladder faces his partner in the Children of Pain in a "3 stages of death match." 3 matches in one night: First a pinfall match, second a submission match, third a no ropes barbwire match in which the fans bring weapons (no guns please!) Also on that night, the ACW Heavyweight Title will be defended by Showtime Summers (assuming he still has the belt) against TNA X-Division Pioneer Jerry Lynn.

Other announcements from the night include the main event for the August 19th Anarchy Championship Wrestling/IWA Mid-South show. The Team of Necro Butcher and Masada will face the team of Hotstuff Hernandez and Low Ki. The dvd of the last ACW/IWS-MS joint venture "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is currently available at www.smartmarkvideo.com and the dvd from the IWA-MS show "Queen of the Deathmatch" featuring ACW's own Rachel is currently available at outlets like Best Buy. The June 17th Father's Day Show will include the anticipated bare-foot thumbtacks match between Skylar Skelley and Darin Childs for Childs' ACW Hardcore title. The next ACW show is scheduled for May 26th at the Texas Grand Ballroom in Giddings and is the first part of a double shot weekend followed by "Respect" in San Antonio on the 27th. Check out www.anarchychampionshipwrestling.com for detail on all these developments.

Notes: The second match was a non-title match involving US Champion Vega. Mojo's victory over Blaine Steele was Mojo's final match in PWI prior to leaving for a tour of Japan. In the Tag Team Match, The team of 210x (Blaine Steel & Ozzy Manson) interfered, leading to the DQ. Two new champions were named at the show as Ozzy Manson beat Renegade for the International Championship and The Great Ryu beat Ken Johnson for the PWI Heavyweight Championship. Congratulations to the new Champions. Check out www.pwient.com for details on all things pertaining to Pro Wrestling International Entertainment. Match # 7 - ACW Heavyweight Championship Match
Challenger Cassandro vs. Champion "Showtime" Scot Summers

Notes: In the third match, James was accompanied to the ring by his Double Trouble tag team partner Tony Vega. Vega's interference assisted James in his victory over ACW newcomer Blood.

In the 4th match, Jaykus Plisken scored the win with his submission finisher.

The feature match between Sharkboy and "One Man" Mike Dell ended when the TNA Superstar Sharkboy hit his finisher "The Deep Sea Drop" on Dell.

The Tag Team Match ended when Rachel Summerlyn was able to submit Jacob Ladder. Those who are familiar with ACW wrestling are aware that Jacob Ladder has pledged to retire from wrestling when the Children of Pain lost the tag belts.

In the ACW Heavyweight Title Match, Champion Showtime Summers faced the Triple A and Lucha VaVoom Superstar Exotico Cassandro. The Mexican star marks Summers 12th successful defense of the title against 11 different challengers from all over the world and may have been Showtime's toughest opponent so far.

ACW returns to action in just a few hours tonight in San Antonio at the Venue at 800 Lexington with the show "Trouble in Paradise." Check out www.anarchychampionshipwrestling.com for details on this and on upcoming shows.

Texas Wrestling Academy Announces New Session

Texas Wrestling Entertainment and the Texas Wrestling Academy have issued the following announcement on the webpage www.texaswrestlingentertainment.com

Coming soon . . . the new X-Factor training facility and Events Center. The Texas Wrestling Academy is getting ready to move into its new 4000 square ft training location on San Antonio's Northwest side. The X-Factor will be continuing a tradition of great pro-wrestling training unmatched ANYWHERE in the United States. The X-Factor will also be holding open training to current wrestlers that want to sharpen their skills and get the edge on the competition, regardless of alliances'.A new feature at the X-Factor will be Kids Camp, two one week sessions in the summer for kids ages, 8-?? that want to learn the true art of wrestling. Details and more information on that will come at a later date. Also there will be the Clinics. 2-3 day long sessions with one of the talent scout people in WWE and TNA each. This is a chance for the talent of Texas to show what they can do, and get tips on what the big time is looking for. This year promises to add a new clinic focused on yet another 'worker' in the ring.

Don't forget training. The TWA offers the very best pro-wrestling training bar none. Rudy Boy Gonzalez brings over 20 years of experience every time he steps in the ring. There are more wrestlers in the business that can claim to be trained by RBG than any other wrestling trainer at this time. In Texasalone, there are the Texas Treats, Spiro, Jacob Ladder, El Latino, The Smashing Machine, who are known names in the local area, as well as up and coming dynamites such as Skitzo, and Brett Thunder, who are right now featured in NWA-Anarchy, with Ladder also making appearances in IWA-MidSouth.The Texas Wrestling Academy has also been singled out by established stars such as TNA's LAX member Hotstuff Hernandez as well as Japanese Superstar Ultimo Dragons 'Dragon Gates' prize pupil Milano Collection AT, who spent the majority of 2005 and half of 2006 learning the American Style of wrestling and creating quite a stir towards his final days in the United States as both WWE and TNA began inquiries, which ended with his signing of a 1 year contract to New Japan. Rumors are he will be back.

This location will also be the home of Texas Wrestling Entertainments weekly wrestling action, entitled Wednesday Night Slammers, which will be the first time in over 20 years a weekly wrestling event will be held in the Alamo City. 'Slammers' will feature some of the hardest hitting action, from some of the most talented individuals locally and from abroad. Talks have already begun with Stars such as Jacob Ladder, TNA's Chris Sabin, Christy Hemme, X-Pac, and more. Wednesday Nights will never be the same.

JUST IN-The Texas Wrestling Academy has long been considered one of, if not THE top wrestling schools in the country. And it will only get better.

End Of Month Notes

April Kicked Ass!

From the TWE Wrestlemania Slammin' Sunday and the road trip to Denton for XCW Battle Box 8, through the week leading up to and including ACW's Sunday Bloody Sunday, through the RCW double shot weekend and the sheer artistry of the match between Shingo and Yamato at STPW on the 29th, I was witness to more great matches in one month than anyone could imagine.

Both Battle Box 8 and Sunday Bloody Sunday reached the level of joining my personal list of shows that can be categorized as "Best Ever." Participating as a ring announcer at some of the ACW shows has been an interesting experience and I am thrilled that I have received a vote of confidence to continue.

I was unable to attend any of the NWA Pro shows that crossed Texas during the month, but I have been told that they will be back in Mid June and I hope to make it to at least one show, not only to enjoy the action, but to support the local guys who are participating on a national stage. With the involvement of such promotions as NWA Pro and IWA Mid-South, along with the national attention directed at Booker T's Pro Wrestling Alliance in Houston and the growth of other Texas based promotions such as XCW which has expanded beyond Texas, and dynamic promotions like RCW and ACW, wrestling in Texas is experiencing a renaissance.

I have heard some rumors and seen some things that make me think that in San Antonio, the successes will continue in directions that will surprise even the the most astute fan. I can hardly wait to see what develops.
