Saturday TWE Floresville Texas Wrestling Entertainment made an appearance at the Floresville FallFest Saturday, presenting four competitive matches to the crowd. The first match got off to a frightening start however as TWE TV Champion Brett Thunder came to the ring and jumped to the second turn buckle which snapped, causing Thunder to land on the back of his head. Fortunately Brett was ok and able to continue, but his title defense against The Xtreme Bulldawg Rexx Reed was off to a scary start. Despite having to battle the match with only two rope, Reed and Thunder each made the needed adjustments to their offense and presented a very good match. The fans clearly supported Thunder, while hurling abuse at the larger Reed. When Reed pinned Thunder with the use of the ropes, referee Rick Porter initially missed it and it appeared that there was a new TV Champion, but Skitzo came to the ring and set Porter straight. When the fans confirmed that Reed had cheated, Rick Porter called for the restart to the match. While Reed argued, Thunder quickly snuck in and rolled up Reed for the victory. Despite the arguing of Reed and his partner Bigg Dogg, Porter stuck to his guns.
Before the second match, Rick Porter and Angelina quickly replaced the broke middle rope with the bottom rope. The second match was started before the crowd could lose interest. They weren't disappointed either as Bigg Dogg and Skitzo faced off. These two presented a highly physical and competitive match which ended in a manner very similarly to the first match. Bigg Dogg pinned Skitzo using the ropes. Brett Thunder came ringside and pointed out the cheating to the Ref who restarted the match. Skitzo quickly took advantage and scored the victory. Bigg Dogg and Rexx Reed argued with Porter but were only able to gain a tag match against Thunder and Skitzo later in the show.
The third match was between on-again off-again tag partners Windwalker and Cowboy James Claxton. Windwalker found himself at odds with the fans early and when Claxton was introduced as hailing from Floresville, the crowd clearly had their favorite. This was a fun match as both men showed their charisma as well as their wrestling skills. Windwalker worked on Cowboy's injured leg throughout the match and appeared to be on the verge of winning when Claxton hit the big boot and scored the victory.
The main event was the tag match between the Dog Pound - Bigg Dogg and Xtreme Bulldawg Rexx Reed and the team of Skitzo and Brett Thunder. This was an excellent match as all 4 men were able to show their skills. The Dogg Pound relied on typical rulebreaking and double team tactics, but as the action picked up, Thunder and Skitzo mounted a comeback and put the match away as Skitzo pinned Reed while Thunder and Bigg Dogg battled outside the ropes.
The wrestlers of TWE are clearly ready for the big STAR WARZ show scheduled for December 3rd. Details have not been finalized so check the TWE webpage often. Do not miss this show!

RCW Returns to Action!
River City Wrestling made its long awaited return to action Friday night at the Hope of Glory church as a full house of fans cheered their favorites. Ring announcer Jeff Houston welcomed the fans and then introduced RCW president Brandon Oliver who thanked the fans for their patience and loyalty during the difficult times. RCW fans are outstanding fans, almost a family and were joyful to hear the positive news concerning Brandon's and Jenni's daughter Madison Melissa.
The show got started as Team Mex - Hotstuff Hernandez, Don Juan and Chris Marval came to the ring adorned with no fewer than 10 championship belts currently held by the team. When Commissioner Yebisu, who had formerly managed The Texas Treats, Don Juan and Chris Marval as part of the International Power Station (IPS), Team Mex seemed unconcerned, knowing that the remaining members of the old IPS where no longer a part of RCW. Yebisu informed Team Mex and the crowd that a "New IPS" would be revealed tonight. At least that's what the fans thought Yebisu had said. When Yebisu left the ring, Jeff Houston re-entered and made the mistake of grabbing the microphone from Hotstuff's hands. Even those who weren't fans of Jeff Houston winced in pain at what happened next. First Hernandez informed "the best dressed man in wrestling" that he needed to strip or be stripped. After the nervous Houston stripped to his boxers, Hotstuff kicked Jeff, then lifted him over his shoulders and tossed him across the ring into the corner. Jeff landed in an ugly heap but his suffering wasn't over as the Treats proceeded to wail away on him with his own belt.
When the ring cleared it became apparent that there was a need for a new ring announcer. Ray the Voice was called into action and announced the participants in the first match. Fans were skeptical when the first wrestler introduced was "The Magician," a newcomer to RCW who entered the ring wearing a top hat and cape. When his opponent was announced, the crowd perked up. The return of Masada instantly prompted a "he's a bad-ass" chant. The match was a quick one as the Magician seemed more interested in impressing Masada with his card tricks, but eventually Masada had seen enough and got out the lighter fluid. No one gets up from the flaming fist. Masada left the Magician prone on the mat.
The second match was far more competitive as J.T. LaMotta of the Hardbodies faced Johnny Ender of the Nerdy Boys. This was a fascinating match featuring some incredible offense as these two showed how innovative they could be. At the height of the match, however, a masked man came ringside dancing like a geek. As Ender gawked in confusion, LaMotta snuck in for the pin.
In Match # 3 Sidd Murder returned to RCW to face the Bling King Quinten Allen. The last time SA saw Sidd, it was in the Tag Team hardcore match at Breaking All of the Rules 2. In this match, Sidd was able to show his in-ring skills as he faced the Bling King. Fans quickly learned to appreciate the skills of Sidd as he tossed the hated Allen around the ring. Allen did mount a come back and managed to hit his new finisher "The Questionnaire" to spoil Murder's return.
The fourth match saw Spector face Kris Kronie of the Nerdy Boys. The two wrestlers started their match in a civil manner, but as things heated up, it became apparent that neither wanted to lose this match. For the second time that night the masked geek returned to dance ringside. This time both wrestler were distracted, but it was Kronie who recovered first and scored the victory.
After the intermission Mike Dell faced Andrew Dalton of the Hardbodies for the RCW TV Title, which Dalton has renamed the "Cyber Title." Dell is probably the most popular wrestler in RCW and Dalton is perhaps the most hated so this match had built in drama. Both wrestlers showed that they have an array of wrestling moves and the crowd was really getting into the action when, for the third time, the dancing masked geek made an appearance. This time interfering with Dell and allowing Dalton to use the ropes and get the pin. After the match, Dalton was joined in the ring by his Hardbody partner J.T. LaMotta and the Masked Geek. As they celebrated the victory they removed the mask and presented the newest member of the Hardbodies Joey Spector. Dell reentered the ring and took some of his frustrations out on the Hardbody Joey Spector.
Prior to the main event, Commissioner Yebisu returned to introduce the "NEW" IPS. First from Mexico, Sicodelico Jr. From Big Japan Masada, and in the biggest surprise of the night, from Hawaii, Ikaika! The New IPS looked very impressive indeed. The three men were set to face Team Mex. This was an outstanding match. All six men are skilled competitors and it was everything referee Alex Marrozos could do to stay out of the way of the action. Team Mex gained control by focusing upon keeping Ikaika down and pounding upon his previously injured back. In the end, Sicodelico Jr. turned his back on his team mates and joined the attack on Ikaika. The result was the match being thrown out, but it set up the main event for the next RCW show. On November 18th at the Bellaire Baptist Church RCW will present a War-Games style Cage match featuring the 4 members of Team Mex facing New IPS members Masada and Ikaika and 2 unnamed partners. STPW in Shertz Southern Thunder Pro Wrestling made its way to Shertz Texas Sunday with a card of five matches, including 2 championship matches. Jeff Houston did the announcing and Alex Marrozos handled the referee duties.
The first match was between Berry and Cobra. While Cobra's offense was more of a mat-based style, Berry was forced to make adjustments as the low ceiling interfered with his high flying moves. In the end, the adjustments were too much for the younger Berry and the Veteran Cobra scored the victory.
The second match saw Dragon X face Gabe "the Babe." Gabe is quickly making a name for himself in San Antonio. Unfortunately the name is "Cry Baby." Gabe spent most of the match avoiding the action or complaining about the tactics of Dragon X. When he did focus on the match, he showed some skills but it was the more focused Dragon X who got the victory.
The next match saw Ricky Rhodes facing former Texas Champion Johnny Rage. Rhodes had the support of the young fans in this match, but Rage was able to use stall tactics until he could gain an advantage. When he finally got the advantage, he used the ropes and gained the win.
Match Four was for the Southern Thunder Pro Wrestling Texas Championship held by Renegade. Renegade's challenger was the huge Ezekiel "the Bengal" Franks. Renegade is a large man who rarely faces bigger opposition, but the Bengal stood every bit of 6'7" and 300 pounds. On top of this, his martial arts background makes him a dangerous opponent for any man. Despite this situation, Renegade had the experience edge in the match and was not one to quit. All it takes is one clothesline from hell and anyone can go down to the Renegade. When Franks' head cleared Renegade was already celebrating the victory.
The main event was for the STPW Cruiserweight title. More than this, it was a rematch of what may be the rivalry of the year in South Texas Wrestling. Former tag partners Rudy Russo and El Latino faced off for Latino's title. These two men have battled in at least 4 different promotions in South Texas since Russo turned on Latino and the battles between them have been some of the best matches many fans have seen all year. El Latino was able to gain some more revenge on Russo by picking up the win tonight, but this rivalry looks to continue well into 2007

Calendar Correction
The calendar of upcoming events has a couple of errors which have now been corrected. Specifically the Lucha Libre promotion TWA will be running shows on November 10th and the 24th. After that, they will be running on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. MAW is also running Lucha Shows on the 10th and 24th but will go on hiatus after the end of this month.
